Sorry to hear you’re having trouble downloading the ebook. Here are common problems people have when trying to download the ebook. Please walk through the steps in sequential order until you find the issue.
1. Did you get the “confirm your subscription” email?
You’ll need to click on the link inside that email to confirm that it was you who signed up and not someone else trying to send you junk. If you haven’t received this, check your spam folder and if it isn’t there, try signing up for the list again as you may have mis-typed your email address when signing up.
2. Have you received the welcome email with download link?
Once you’ve clicked to confirm that it was you, you will receive an email within a few minutes with the subject line: “[Modern Tog] Thank you! Here’s your eBook & a little something to get you started…”
Check your spam folder and use the search function in your email program to see if it has arrived. Occasionally it will get sent to spam even if the confirmation email did not. If so, make sure to mark it as “Not Spam” and to create a filter that sends it to your inbox so you don’t miss any of the other future goodies in store for you.
If it still isn’t there and you have searched your email, give it an hour. During busy times it can take a bit to arrive. Then check for it again.
3. If you’ve received the welcome email with link, but are still having problems:
The ebook doesn’t open when you click on the link in the email; it downloads it to your computer to whatever the default download folder is. Here’s how you specify where to save it so you can find it again to open it: To save it to your Mac, press “control” while clicking and select “Save link as….” To save it to PC, right click on the link and select “Save Target As…”
4. Are you on an iPad or other mobile device?
You can’t download it directly to these devices – they first need to be downloaded to a computer and then transferred to your mobile device for viewing.
